I went out for dinner this evening with a friend.

Met at the restaurant.

As we leave, we walk past some people who are standing around outside the door of the restaurant. They have a very small boy (roughly 4 years old) standing with them.

We’re in our respective cars in a very busy parking lot. We’re trying to leave.

As I turn around to back out, I see that same very small boy standing in the middle of the traffic lane in the very busy parking lot…while there are cars coming down the traffic lane, as well as at least three cars with their backup lights on, trying to leave.

Where is very small boy’s Mom? Where is very small boy’s Dad?

Standing outside the door of the restaurant, too busy socializing to bother to hold their child’s hand in a very busy parking lot.
I had to roll the window down and literally yell at them to get their kid.
NICE.

These are the same kind of people who would sue the crap out of someone if they bumped the kid with their car by accident…despite the fact it’s their responsibility to hold their very small boy’s hand in a very busy parking lot.
Jerks.
